TenCate Advanced Armour in Denmark has been selected by BAE Systems Hägglunds as supplier of protection for the ongoing upgrade and new-build program of CV90 vehicles to the Norwegian Army.

In April 2015, TenCate Active Protection has conducted full-scale testing at IABG (Germany) and TNO (Netherlands) in cooperaton with the German BAAINBW (Bundeswehr materiel organisation) and the Dutch Army. The tests conducted proved the effectiveness of the TenCate ABDS™ active blast countermeasure system on the Dutch YPR tracked vehicle platform and a full-size test-rig.
The tests fully demonstrated the capability of the system to limit the effects of large under-wheel and under-belly blasts in challenging soil types. This is directly representative of current threats in mission-areas and thus clearly demonstrates to MODs the availability of a life saving technology countering the IED threats.
Turkish vehicle OEM FNSS will display the system on the PARS 6X6 vehicle at IDEF in Turkey 5-8 May where the TenCate Active Protection team will be present to demonstrate the capabilities of the system. See the display in Hall 7, stand 710.

GDELS and TenCate will cooperate on integrating and qualifying the advanced blast protection system on the EAGLE V 4x4 platform, taking the protection of the vehicle to a higher level than has been possible with existing technologies.

TenCate Advanced Armour and TenCate Protective Fabrics have been jointly attending the SOFINS (Special Operation Forces seminar), 14-16 April in Martignas, France. Our team met with some 40 foreign delegations, mainly from Europe, Middle east & Africa, presenting our solutions for Special Forces and tactical law enforcement teams.
Several end users from Military and Police attended the seminar and were able to give feedback on TenCate products based on extensive operational experience. The TenCate solutions are widely regarded as top quality produts in the market in terms of performance and durability and the stand-alone plates and shields received particular recognition.

Spall liners are made from rubberised aramid, high-performance polyethylene or fibreglass. The spall liner is mounted on the inside of the vehicle. It is designed to stop projectiles and small fragments and to reduce the damage inside the vehicle if hit by an overmatched threat.
Spall liner protection only adds a minimum of weight to the vehicle and has hardly any effect on manoeuvrability, payload or radius of action. This equipment can be tailored to fit particular types of vehicles, thus making it easy and straightforward for vehicle manufacturers to install this protection solution.
Spall liners are tested and certified in accordance with the NATO STANAG 2920 standard. They are available with different kinds of surfaces for heat insulation or noise reduction, including cellular foam with both noise and vibration-dampening effects. Surfaces are available in a selection of different colours finishes.
TenCate Advanced Armour lightweight vehicle protection systems add the minimum weight to vehicles, providing excellent protection with the least reduction in manoeuvrability and operational range. The high levels of ballistic protection are achieved by using the most lightweight solutions available.
